How to get there

Moresco,405 m.above sea-level, is 10 km. from the sea and from the motorway exits of Fermo-Porto San Giorgio and Pedaso. It is reacheable from Porto San Giorgio via Torre di Palme or Lapedona, otherwise from Pedaso driving for six km. along the provincial downvalley road, then turnig right at the crossroad.

What to see

The Tower and at its inside a modern staircase with expositon stands and the wonderful view from the top on hills, valleys and villages.

The castle with its narrow streets, the old cotto-built houses and the beautiful doors, the triangular square with the portico, the frescoes and the shows held during the summer.

The churches are all outside the town wall and in the countryside (except for the church of Sant'Antonio da Padova): the parish church of S.Lorenzo housing some paintings of the XVII and XVIII century; the church of S.Sofia with remainings of a few frescoes; the church of S.Lorenzo recently restored, the church of La Madonna dell'Olmo with frescos by Vincenzo Pagani(1490? - 1568), the church of la Madonna del Soccorso with the effigy of the Vergin Mary.

The Town-hall which houses various works coming from churches and private collections, the most important of all is the altarpiece by Vicenzo Pagani.

10 August traditional celebration in honour of the patron S.Lorenzo 9-11 August festival of the polenta in clam sauce Summer art exibitions, concerts, open-air theatre, festival of the asado.
