The main structure of Incastro is made up of a certain number of pieces of information for each castle taken in consideration. For each castle the information are arranged according five subjects, which are:
History
A brief account of the main historical events occurred in that place
and that led to the building of the castle.
The fortress
A guided tour of the monuments
The legend
A detailed account of a particular historical event linked to the
place, in order to add a hint of colour and characterization.
Touristic information
All the pieces of information that a tourist may need: addresses,
references, services, plus a collection of pictures with views of
the place (postcards).
Cultural events
A calendar of the exhibitions, the meetings, the events that will
be organized in the place.
Beside this vertical structure, centred on the castle, an horizontal structure crossing the vertical one has been attempted.In fact we suggest a series of routes, defined each by a different theme, to lead you through the discovery of the castles. The aim is to create a correspondance between these virtual routes and the real routes of the Marches territory.(see also the presentation of the theme).
Every web page refers to a specific theme, among those we mentioned above. For instance, you always have six pages for each castles (a menu and five pages concerning the information, arranged according the subject.
Some areas meant for the surfing have been arranged on top and bottom of each page, an imagemap where you can click on it to move on the site. You use the side arrows to move from a subject to the other. The central arrow points to the menu, in case of the castle, or generally to the document where that page comes from. The main pages have, instead, a surfing area like the one on the bottom of this page.
