InCastro suggests a series of thematic routes to take you to the discovery of the many keeps, forts and castles of which the region of Marche is full of.
The pieces of information provided are addressed to a potential tourist (at least for now). The intention is to gradually extend the content and enrich it with new themes and information.
InCastro is promoted by the town of Gradara and the Marche Region (Culture and Tourism assessorships) in collaboration with the town municipalities and the regional and provincial administrations. The project is realized by Gradara Ludens, Laboratorio sulla Simulazione and IUAV.
The name InCastro comes from a pun on the word Castro (from the latin castle) and Incastro, the italian for tangle. The result is a combination, almost a fusion of different keys of interprenting a theme. For instance the combination of the exigence to exploit the cultural resources and the search for the regional identity; the fusion between those who offer this service and those who actually make use of it; with the help of the telematic means these people can exchange their role in a process of interaction.
