XVIII International Meeting on "From Mystery to Knowledge" organized by the Italian Association for Psycological Studies with the patronage Caldarola Municipality.

International Meeting on "The search for family roots at the dawn of the year 2000 and the Schools of Genealogy in Europe", organized by the Italian Araldic-Genealogic Institute of Bologna

The Invisible towns, a drama performed by the troupe In Viaggio.

1-11 August, at the Taverna
Giostra de le Castella (tournament of the Castle) an historical representation It takes place in the span of time between the first and the second Sunday in August to recollect the magnificence of the Renaissance. Very impressive is the historical parade in traditional costumes starting from the castle draw-bridge and ending into the sixteenth-century square which provides a wonderful scenery. On the last evening the Palio with a horse-tournament are performed together with other games of the Renaissance age

Presentation of Rossano Cicconi's book "Caldarola in 1500" edited by Studi Storici and in care of the Pro-Loco association

4 August, 4,30 pm, Castle of Pievefavera
Inauguration of the Antiques Museum.
Archeological remainings of the Roman age revealed in the site of Faveria

31 August - 7 September, Town Theatre
Music session with the young musicians who had the highest marks at the final exams in Italian Conservatoires

Good Friday night, old town centre
Stations of the Cross: Caldarola provides the scenary to the fourteen stations of the Cross. In the beautiful landscape provided by the castle, at the sound of the drums and with only the torch lights to break the dark, it is possible to watch at the performing of the scenes of the Passion.

At Christmas, Pievefavera
A living crib will be performed in the wonderful setting of the medieval village of Pievefavera. The performance is of great effect both for the number of people who take part to it and for the detailed historical reconstration of the various settings.
